Olympic Games 2008 Hong Kong (HK)

Poels had their work cut out for them during the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. We were commissioned to diligently create a mixture of sand, build the arena and maintain it during the event.

Did you know that shipping the sand from Belgium to Hong Kong can take up to 50 days? The sand is transported by ship. Once it arrived, it was all hands on deck to make sure everything happened according to plan.

Ever since this large project we can be found in Hong Kong regularly, constructing and maintaining local arenas.
